VYPE 411: Get to know United’s Natalia Trevino


Natalia Trevino concluded her Laredo United career with 2,402 points, a District 29-6A MVP award and her fourth TABC All-Region team selection.

The Longhorns finished the season 34-7 and made it to the Regional Semi-Finals while Trevino averaged 15.0 points a game.

VYPE caught up with Trevino to get to know one of the greatest scorers in South Texas.

VYPE: How long have you been playing basketball and how did you get your start?

TREVINO: I started playing basketball in 3rd grade. I got invited to play on a team so I took the opportunity.

VYPE: What is your favorite thing about basketball?

TREVINO: My favorite thing about basketball is the excitement and I hype I get when I’m on the court.

VYPE: Go-to pregame meal? Routine?

TREVINO: I usually eat Chick-fil-A as a pre game meal.

VYPE: Favorite subject in school?

TREVINO: My favorite subject in high school would be forensic science.

VYPE: Who’s the toughest player you’ve ever faced on the court?

TREVINO: The toughest player I have faced on the court would be Corina Carter from Judson high school.

VYPE: Off the court, what is your favorite thing to do?

TREVINO: Off the court I like to spend time with my family and friends.

VYPE: In all of your years of basketball, what is the one memory from the game you’ll never forget?

TREVINO: In all the years of playing basketball the memory I’ll never forget is being able to play the sport I love with my best friends.
